New Crossways, Level 1, 6 Roxburgh Street, off Courtenay Place

Crossways is configured as an open-plan space with capacity for 120 or more people, and is suitable for small conferences, recreational groups, community activities and private functions. The facilities are available for rent on an hourly or daily basis.

The main space consists of a regularly shaped open area of approximately 10m x 12m, located on the first floor of the building, with polished wooden floors. Access is via a stairwell from the street; there is currently no lift or disabled access to the meeting areas.

The main area is light and bright thanks to a long expanse of windows on the western side, and has a number of skylights. There is good natural ventilation with opening windows, and a central heat pump heating/cooling system. A single unisex toilet is provided.

Crossways has a full kitchen available, including oven, cooktop, dishwasher and fridge. There are reasonable supplies of crockery, cutlery and glassware, along with an electric jug and ample work space. There is limited temporary storage for day-long meetings; however there is no permanent storage space available on-site.

Crossways is also equiped with tables, chairs, whiteboards, couches, screens and a piano - all included in your hire. If you wish to hire a data projector with soundsystem this can also be arranged.

The building is very conveniently located in Roxburgh Street just off Majoribanks Street, and is an easy walk from the end of Courtenay Place. There is limited car parking available in coupon spaces in both Roxburgh and Majoribanks Streets, and there are multiple bus stops within a one minute walk.

Excellent food and entertaining is available in the immediate area, with Hazel Restaurant next door, a number of acclaimed restaurants in Majorbanks Street - such as Ambeli, Ortega Fish Cafe and Capitol - as well as easy access to the Courtenay Precinct.
